I've always been interested in computers and did some basic computer programming at school. As a teenager I enjoyed using my Mum's Amstrad computer, then once married my husband and I were the proud owners of an Apple Mac and I read the Computer Active magazine to keep up to date. Nowadays, I'm struggling to keep up! Encouraged by my techie daughter, I have recently decided to go down the Linux route. However, my daughter has now left home, so it's up to me to work it out myself. We are trying to keep old computers in use, which is also another challenge - but helped by using Linux.  I'm looking forward to improving my digital skills.
